Awesome
NOO NOO NOO you shall not use this to win games. I'll report you to chess.com for this, I even wrote a note to tell people not to do this.
Lol I wasn't going to. It's pretty amusing though.
Oh. That's nice to know :D

Apparently, you can suggest games with all sorts of dubious and even lost starting positions. Chess.com is facing a diffcult task: Cleaning up this to prevent abuse. But where to draw the line - which openings are to be allowed?
The easy fix is to make all thematic games unrated. The second easiest is to force thematic games to come in pairs, and it's already kind of annoying.
I think the best fix would to make all thematic games come in pairs as Irontiger said, but also have like a confirm button when you agree to one, so you have a better idea of what you're putting yourself into.
I don't see higher rated players get tricked by this as shown in post 22, so the best solution I see would be to smarten up and know more about chess.
This thread started as an oddity and it worked. Clearly it got the attention of many good people on this site but, I can't beleive TalonFlame acually gave instrutions on how to do it, post 73. Then he backpeddals on morality and says "don't do this". Take that shit down, please (please refrain from insulting others with profanity - mod). These forums are not classes in how to hack. Did someone ask you to put that up there?? This from someone who got kicked out of chess.com University. Learn to distinguish between public forums, and private messages you idiot! I don't disturb Erik and Kohai on the weekends, but in your case, I'll make an exception.

lol you're just jealous that I'm smarter than you and I figured out how to do this.
I understand that it's our own problem that it's stupid to accept such game invitations, but isn't it also equally stupid that even such game invitations are legal?
Here in Chess.com, below a notorius complaint, after a while I always see comments that support the idea that the staff has hard jobs, they can't do everything etc. C'mon they can erase the dubious openings from the game invitations it's not that hard.
There will always be holes of any system, it's us that we should be aware of them yes. But how's going to help to the future of Chess.com to leave these holes behind? Think ahead please, either turn off the dubious openings, or thematic openings come in pairs, pick your solution.
Oh yeah, "site feature". Featured so much they deleted his account!
They closed his account because he did it repeatedly.
So he's been able to modify the thematic starting positions?
To my knowledge, premium members can invent their own.
And no, premium members cannot invent their own positions.
