This is a "No Vacation" tournament!
The Ruy Lopez is very popular and for several good reasons. It is a good counter to 1. e4, an open style of play, and once you get past the "book" openings, there is some very "rich chess" (i.e. lots of ways to take the play).
One group of 5 leading to a winner. It will start when filled (ASAP - which stands for "As Soon as Possible").
Custom Trophies. Each person will play every opponent in their group twice, once from the black side, once from the white.
1 day time control and NO VACATIONS.
Almost every tournament I have had the privilege of running has been completed in about a month.
I will make posts in the FORUM of the tournament about the Ruy Lopez. Links and information. If you needed an excuse to become a Diamond Member, this might be it. There are some great videos on the Ruy Lopez available to diamond members. It comes to about 30 cents at day -- something to consider. Less than a cup of coffee to get tons of great chess resources.

Lynch82 has officially won the Ruy Lopez Marshall attack. One of the sharpest opening in use today. I do believe he needs to put that one to memory as a response to e4 opening.
