Chess.com Nations League & LCWL Chess960 Cup Begin This Weekend!
Hello all!
USChess live chess match play returns this weekend with four matches in two different competitions against two of the best live chess teams in the world, Russia and Romania! We also have a new USChess Live Matches Google Calendar, which I highly recommend adding to the calendar app on your phone or laptop to remind you of when upcoming matches are about to start. On Saturday, June 12, at 11:05 am Pacific, 2:05 pm Eastern, we will face the mighty Team Russia in a pair of Chess960 matches to kick off the 2021 Live Chess World League Chess960 Cup. We're in Division 1 for the Chess960 Cup, so our matches against Russia and other teams in the coming months will be a great measure of how we stack up against the world's best. On Sunday, June 13, at 11 am Pacific, 2 pm Eastern, we play Romania in the first round of Season 3 of the Chess.com Nations League. Romania are back-to-back reigning Nations League champions and one of the best teams in the world, so these matches will be tough. However, if we do manage to pull off a result against Romania, we'd put ourselves in a great position to better our 3rd place finish in the Nations League last season. Full match times and links:
