Coming Soon: Daily 8PC! And 8 player chess app

I've been hosting a Daily 8PC test run on my website. Thanks to everyone who has participated and helped me find bugs to fix! Now, I think we're ready to let the rest of the club play...in just a few days, I will soft-release* Daily 8 Player Chess.

Players have 3 days per move, the website keeps track of all piece locations and player data, and there is absolutely zero image or sandbox editing required!

How do you get into a game?

Simply make an account (https://8playerchess.com/register/) and then click the "Join this game" button at the top of the daily landing page. Once your game fills up, you'll find it in the 'Your Games' section also on the daily landing page.

*What does "soft-release" mean? Basically, all the "need-to-haves" (such as password-protected moving, castling, etc) are ready, but some of the "nice to have"s category are still in development. Feel free to post suggestions for new features below.

What is the 8 player chess app?

Developed by me, the 8 player chess android app (unfortunately, not working on iOS yet) is close to its first soft-release. it will include a daily server, where you will be able to create games, accounts, and profile pages, with picture, status and ratings. later there will be forums and admin-tools, and probably a leaderboard. as well as a rules descriptions, which i will try to do now but may do only later because of working on other stuff. its a simple page, though.

Because glo_1 is using a different database than mine, the games are separate and there is no way to move your piece from a website game in the app, or vice-versa. Note that because of the small screens in the phones, moves will be coordinate-based, where you input the coordinates of the piece to move and of the destination square. a preview can be shown, as well as coordinates in the board.

No play store

The app will not, for now be available in the google play store for installation. instead, a package will be given as well as a guide on how to install it. There need to be made a few adjustments before it is released to play store, and testing, of course.
