S6 Elite 8 Results + Final 4 Matchups

Well, it's done. Another round of the competition has gone by, and the posts continue to improve. Thankfully, we did not get to see the history repeat and there were no forfeits and no procrastination from the competitors or judges. Overall it was quite an enjoyable round to watch.

With all that out of the way, who will be moving on to the Final 4 (semis), and who will be saying goodbye?

Group A saw @Taken going up against top blogger @Rinckens. This was a highly anticipated matchup as the top-seeded @Taken, who was originally the #2 seed (but @SleepyPorcyy withdrew so...) was facing @Rinckens, one of the favorites to win it all. I had concluded in my pre-knockouts predictions that this might be the matchup of the season. 

But, it ended up being a 3-0 win for @Rinckens. Good job on perhaps your best season ever Taken, and we hope to see you return in the future seasons! 

Group B had @KevinSmithIdiot vs @iiHazel. Hazel entered the knockouts as a substitute, but defeated his opponent by a 3-0 score in the first round, announcing that he could not be taken lightly. But Kevin continues on his merry way as he wins this matchup by 3-0 to enter the semis. 

Group C had top blogger @VOB96 facing @BugMeLater. Both posted very good entries, but neither was perfect. Vob's blog was engaging and well-edited, and as one of the judges said: "Bug gave some great analysis on a quite original line." 

It was close, but congrats to @VOB96 who moves on to the semis by registering a score of 2-1 over her opponent. 

And the final group, Group D, saw @JustGettingThisOffMyChess facing @Yeoh_Kai_Bo_Official. Yeoh had just accomplished an upset by defeating @OnyxOrca, one of the favorites to win this thing in round 1. JustGetting did not disappoint as a substitute and registered a score of 3-0 in the previous round. But who won in this round?

Yeoh's blog was good, but congratulations to JustGetting who again registers a score of 3-0 and moves on to the semis.

GROUP B: @VOB96 vs @JustGettingThisOffMyChess 

Congratulations to the ones who advanced, and to the ones who lost, don't get discouraged! Keep improving your writing, a loss is a learning experience.
