S6 Final Four Results + Season 6 Awards

It's over. After all the pain, suffering, excitement, and drama of season 6, we are finally down to the 2 finalists. It was an interesting battle on both sides with no clear favorite. However, it can be said with confidence that all 4 participants proved their worth by posting 4 banger blogs. 

Anywho, let's get into the main thing, the results! 

On the right side of the bracket, we had top blogger @VOB96 taking on probably the surprise of the season, @JustGettingThisOffMyChess. Both the bloggers had completely different runs to the final four. @JustGettingThisOffMyChess got an opportunity to compete in the knockouts because of a withdrawal from his fellow participant and top blogger @BritishAttacker. However, he did not disappoint at all and went bang, bang registering a clean sweep in the round of 16 and elite 8. 

Top Blogger @VOB96 had a slow and nervous start, not quite performing at the level of a top blogger in week 2 of the qualifiers but still managing to go through due to the mind-boggling and historical quality of the week. Since then, she has stepped on the gas and posted spectacular blogs. 

So, which of these passionate bloggers will compete in the championship? Both bloggers posted highly creative and innovative topics. But only one can go through. 

Congratulations to @VOB96 for living up to the status of top blogger and making a run to the championship. Congratulations to JustGetting as well for a remarkable season, especially keeping the comeback in mind after he failed to qualify in the qualifiers. Top Blogger is in your future if you want it. 

Now the left side of the bracket, top blogger @Rinckens against @KevinSmithIdiot, was a bit more dramatic. 

@Rinckens rightfully earned his place as the #3 seed in season 6 with Kevin not too far away from the rankings. Both have had a pretty similar run to the semis. 

And...., Both posted W blogs and none of them was a clear favorite against the other for the judges. This matchup took a lot of time to be judged. 

However, congratulations to @KevinSmithIdiot for making it to the championship by registering a score of 2-0. He has so far proved why he deserves top blogger and in courtesy of whatever happens in the finals, he will be provided with a top blogger recommendation because his opponent is already a TB. 

Congratulations to Rinckens for a tremendous season, and we hope that you will return next season. 

So, here we have it ladies and gentlemen. After a great and turbulent season, we are down to the championship, Top Blogger @VOB96 facing @KevinSmithIdiot.

Rookie of the Season 

Congratulations @VOB96, you are the rookie of the season! Perhaps establishing the best run by a BlogChamps debutant, @VOB96 will be competing in the Championship. Hopefully we see more new non-egoish bloggers willing to put the effort next season like her. 

Most Improved Blogger

Congratulations @KevinSmithIdiot, you showed tons of improvement from last season! From failing to earn a spot in the knockouts in season 5 with a score of 4.6 to now fighting for the ultimate crown, not bad sir, not bad at all. 

Surprise of the Season

Congratulations @JustGettingThisOffMyChess, you are the surprise of the season! Having not registered anything relevant previously in the world of blogging, my man came in as a dramatic surprise as he went from a mediocre blogger to being a part of the final four. Not to forget about the fact that he originally did not qualify for the knockouts, but came in as a sub and went all out. A very strong comeback. 

Comeback Blogger of the Season 

Congratulations @KevinSmithIdiot, you are the comeback blogger of the season! Having never had any previous success in the BlogChamps seasons he competed, this season showed us a dramatic difference as he now will be getting a recommendation for Top Blogger. This platform wants to see more bloggers like Kevin, from failing to rising to the top of the competition. 

Most Underrated Blogger

Congratulations to @BugMeLater as he is the most underrated blogger of season 6. We saw people talking about vob, taken, rinckens, Kevin, but nobody talked about this blogger. He had pretty decent submissions. 

Honorary mention: @Yeoh_Kai_Bo_Official 

Blogger of the Season

Oof, tough choice. But the blogger of the season in my opinion is @KevinSmithIdiot as we must take the qualifiers' performance of the finalists into consideration. Both @VOB96 and Kevin had pretty similar results in the knockouts, but this award narrowly goes to Kevin, regardless of what happens in the championship. 

And that is all I have concerning the results and awards. I would like to inform you all that I won't be serving as a staff for next season in this club, I will be leaving all my clubs, turning off non-friend DMs and friend requests, and only coming online to play chess.
