Road to the Grandmaster title | My first Caro-kann tourney game
In the morning I went to run with my daughter. She was riding her bicycle and sometimes when we went to uphill I helped her. We had fun and enjoyed the experience and the weather.
In the afternoon I solved hard puzzles. It was the 69th calculation training day.
In the evening I analyzed my 7th round game from the First Saturday Tournament.
I played with Ágoston Mihalik, a talented young Hungarian player.
This was a historical game, because this was the first time I played the Caro-kann defense in a tournament game.
He played the advanced variation with early Nd2-b3.
I got an equal position and was able to attack on the queenside with the b7-b5-b4 advance and my pieces became very active.
He was low on time when made a blunder in a bad position and I won.
