Learn the Philidor Defense...and how to play against it!

Almost every chess player has encountered the Philidor Defense at some point. This opening isn't popular at Super-GM level these days, but it's better than its reputation! Black gets a solid position and both sides have a lot of options - from the solid Exchange Variation to the wild Shirov Gambit and Philidor Countergambit!
