Club ownership: the ultimate ideas, experiences, and solutions from 2 very successful club owners 6
Hello and welcome to part 6 of Club ownership: the ultimate ideas, experiences, and solutions from 2 very successful club owners.
This is a very special blog series I'm doing with my good friend @hughienews.
In this blog, we will be talking about how to deal with conflict.
how to deal with conflict.
As most of you know, the main club I own is The Club Of Friendship, and as the name states, we are all about friendship. But, we do have problems or fights now and then, any good club will.
The important thing is what you do about it.
One thing I have been asked a lot is how I handle problems in my club, and It is not that hard.
I will give you 3 steps on how to handle it.
1) stay unbiased, never let anyone pay you to take their side (this most likely won't happen)
2) don't take sides, never take sides, as a club owner you have to help and see everyone's side. It's very important to listen to everyone involved.
3) be fair! As the club owner, you are the judge, the jury, and the executioner. It can be very stressful. One thing that has helped me is getting a good team and always asking their option on everything! It has helped me a lot.
If it gets really out of control and no one will listen to you and stop fighting, mute everyone involved and makes a group chat with everyone involved. Then use the 3 steps above to handle the problem.

Ah. conflict. Well- no good club can survive without it. and dealing with it properly as a club owner is crucial!
There isn't exactly one right way to handle it and one wrong way, more just some general guidelines to follow, as CD laid out. Being unbiased is important! see, once you even take a little side, you are viewed as gullible! And people begin losing their respect for you.
remember- you are IN CHARGE! the rules YOU set out are the rules to be followed. As CD said, the judge, jury, and executioner! and judges remain fair! it can be hard, especially when you have close friends on one side of an argument. but you must stay true to the rules of your club. BE FAIR!!!
Also, talk to your staff. they are there for a reason. I would recommend making a courtroom club or area of your headquarters. that way you can talk to your staff and hear what they have to say. remember- they are your chosen team and their opinions matter too!
In the end, sometimes you are going to have to mute people. which isn't fun- but sometimes as a club owner you have to. remember, whatever you choose, it's your club. so stay in command. always. you've got this!!
