07.20.1924 International Chess Day

FIDE was founded on July 20, 1924. Today is the 99th anniversary of the international world chess federation. Chess.com is hosting arenas live today for the world chess day. The duration for the arenas is 24 hours long. This is an annual celebration occuring on July 20 every year. Next year, the world chess federation will be having a century-anniversary in 2024. UPDATE: The FIDE made 100 years of service today July 20th, 2024. It is a centennial anniversary of the World Chess Federation. The International Chess Federation existed for one full exact century.
