Dear Friends,

Throughout the course of my existence, I have met wonderful people that I am glad to call my friends. As I continue my journey of life, I am so thankful for the gift of friendship that many individuals have given me.

In the same way, I have met amazing people on chess.com. As I have played games and gotten to know players, I have had the privilege of becoming friends with them.

However, as much as I would hate to admit it, people leave. And I have had many friends leave before I had a chance to say good-bye. This saddens me since I have come to enjoy the time I have had with the people I have befriended here.

What devastates me more so is that there are so many people I have interacted with that believe that they aren't loved or don't matter. However, I would like to like to say that it is SIMPLY UNTRUE. So for those of you who believe this, know that no matter what:

YOU ARE VALUED. YOU ARE LOVED.

Note: If you aren't a Christian, I would still appreciate it if you read the following paragraph. You have no obligation to do so; it is your choice.

First of all, despite what people may say about human life being invaluable is ridiculous. From the unborn baby to the elderly, every single human being that ever existed is worth so much more than any material wealth or thing. You, the reader, are a valuable and loved human being because the God of the Bible created you in His Image (Genesis 1:26). Yet because of Adam, the first created human, and his wife Eve sinned, all of mankind was in rebellion against God. All humans were sinners who rejected the Holy and Righteous God. "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). Jesus Christ, God's only son, provided a way for mankind to be redeemed by taking the cup of God's wrath against sinners through his death on the cross. John 3:16-17 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." Yet God's plan didn't end with Christ in the grave. Instead, Christ resurrected three days later, providing salvation for all people if they choose to follow Christ.

Even if you don't agree with my Christian beliefs, please know that:

1. Your life is valuable

2. Even if you don't feel loved or doubt your worth, that doesn't mean no one cares about you or that your life means nothing

3. God exists, and He does love those He has created. He loves us so much that He sent His Son to pay the penalty for our sin (death), so that we may have a gift of eternal life with God.

Even if I may not know you personally, I do care about you. I want you to know that your life has meaning and worth.

Thank you for reading and for your friendships.

Sincerely,

ChessSensasian
