Four days ago I made this post about the new Duolingo chess bots. And in those four days, it has gotten 200+ views. First of all, that's a lot of views for me! But, we MUST do a rematch... I beat the Oscar bot, and the Junior bot. Not enough! I can't go out like that. So that's why we are here again... Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, the Duolingo Rematch....
Let's just beat Oscar really quick before we can get to Junior and then the rest of my challengers...
Ok, an 18 move game to start this off. I don't know why Oscar plays the Sicilian when he's 200 elo but it is what it is I guess. Now let's play the Junior bot and beat him really quick...
Oh yes, I love being up 18 points of material in the 9th move. Too easy. Now let's get to the more challenging bots, like the Zari bot...
Finally I beat this bot! Like I said, I am not leaving here without beating Zari. It's kind of embarrassing to show my bad chess skills to so many people. It's taken me so many games to beat Zari, and most of those games I haven't even put in these blogs. But, no more talking from me as we can go to the Lily bot... If you saw the last Duolingo post you saw the very good roasts that she told me. If you didn't see them, go check them out it's kind of funny. Now my friends, let's play Lily...
The Lily bot is an incredibly strong bot. Like, I have beaten an 1800 bot and I can't even beat Lily. Well, the last bot is Duo, and like I said in my last Duolingo post, we don't know his elo. Its just "?" Yep. But whatever, let's get beat by Duo...
You kind of knew what you were expecting... I lost on the 23rd move of the game. And I didn't have high hopes for beating Duo, but might as well try right? Anyways, I obviously had to screenshot some more roasts from Lily. They're just too good to ignore! Here's two I got:
I haven't mentioned that every time I play the King's Pawn Opening, the Duolingo bots play the Sicilian. Why? It's a great opening not gonna lie, but at least have some variety in the opening selection. But, as all blogs must come to an end. Thanks for checking out part 2 of this series!
