How My Late Night Bullet Grinding Has Gone Wrong

Have you ever tried to grind your rating online, but failed miserably? Well, as you can probably see on the thumbnail,, I tried to do some late night bullet "grinding", and attempted to gain some ELO points for my bullet rating. And today, we will talk about how "nice" this experience was for me... The time was May 1st, 9:00 PM, and I decided to hop on a video call with my friend @electrosaw and do some bullet grinding.

Since it's bullet chess, I will not annotate the full game, but choose a critical moment of the game. If you wish to view the full game, that's no problem. But be alert, watching my games can lead to serious brain damage and severe loss of your precious brain cells. Other than that, enjoy my "epic fails" grin.png

** The contents in this post are highly sarcastic.

Game 1:

Right before I played Nd5??, I said," Being a Professional Slav player, I can outplay him easily. But guess what? Right after saying that, I hung a piece. sad.png
Game 2: (We will start from the beginning)

Game 3:
You can imagine what I did to my computer and mouse after this game.

Game 4:

I am known for my incredible slowness in bullets, however, I am also known for my incredible dominance in Positional chess and endgame grinds. Therefore, I thought winning the game in such a position is as simple as eating a cake....
It seems like anytime I say, " All I need to do is NOT blunder ", I immediately hang a piece and or hangs checkmate. sad.png So, the secret seems to never mention the word "blunder".

Game 5:

Ok, so saying easy wins also brings me bad luck.

One can write a WHOLE BOOK on all my failures. You might think that after I played all these games I would chuck my computer out the window and never play chess EVER again.

But it's a mark of great players that they try to recover from their fails. After re-regaining focus, I tried again. And to my surprise I won 6 games and got back all my lost rating points.

The Lesson? Every good player has the ability to come back from fails.

Congratulations! You have made it the end! Any questions, comments, feel free to leave it below.
