Looking for Quality, #3.
I started this series ... mostly as a (chess) jest ... thinking that no one would care about my games or what I thought. (I also wanted to "rail" against the folks who simply play bullet, thinking that speed is the ONLY thing that matters in really quick chess!)
However, the response for this series has been overwhelmingly positive. It has been enormous! Not a week goes by that someone does not send me an e-mail, IM or PM about this string of blogs.
People also ask me ... all the time ... when I am gonna play another game that could be posted as part of this series. Unfortunately, I am not Carlsen or Nakamura ... ... ... or even a GM, for that matter! So I have to wait until I play a good game before I can post one. (And playing a good game of bullet is a LOT harder than you might think!!!)
Here is an excerpt from a game that I played about one year ago (give or take a few months) ...
... ... ... good luck in trying to find it! (I closed my eyes and clicked on the mouse to get the date of this game.)
Its an awesome game and I am seriously considering analyzing it. (I am playing the Black pieces.)
This is the current position, White just played 1.Rd5. (Black to play!)
My CAPS score for this game was like 96%.
IMO, this is one of the best games that I have ever played. Despite what the computer said, I did NOT make any mistakes in this game. (I don't consider missing a better move a mistake, this is a finesse that the simpleton computer program simply does not grasp.)
These are my thoughts on this game:
