The next GM on the list is none other than Vladimir Kramnik, who was taught the game of chess when he was 4 years old by his father. He was the world champion to succeed the great Garry Kasparov, and has achieved a lifetime peak rating of 2817, back in 1975(a very long time ago)! Believe it or not, Kramnik used to be the youngest player to achieve a rating of 2800, but now that title is held by Alireza Firouzja.

Similar to the others, he has played tons and tons of games, and this is a crazy game where he conquers one of the greatest chess players ever: Garry Kasparov!

Kramnik plays white against Kasparov, in the classical world championship of 2000:

Some of the key takeaways from this game are to watch out for exchange sacrifices, such as the sacrifice of the bishop implemented by Kramnik. Furthermore, it showcases excellent piece coordination in order to execute a near-perfect attack against a player who is known for his tactical attacking strategies!

Kramnik is one of the strongest chess players of the older generation, and it wouldn't be a waste of time to study what he was upto when he was in his prime!
