A recent article on the Founder of the Hip-Hop Chess Federation in a Hip-Hop site revealed an old song Adisa Banjoko did with legendary rapper Del from Hieroglyphics. The song was recorded back in the early 1990's. http://ambrosiaforheads.com/2016/12/unreleased-del-homosapien-troop-187-audio/

In the song, Adisa raps about chess a lot. It is clear he has always been fusing the two arts on some level.
