My Full Analysis of Grischuk-Caruana, 2018 Candidates

This is the game that secured Caruana his 2018 Candidates victory, and a World Championship Match with Carlsen in November 2018!

Of the players in the tournament, Caruana was clearly in the best form. He prepared a strong repertoire for the tournament, yet one that differed from his usual repertoire in previous tournaments. No doubt that can be attributed to Caruana's long-term work with Rustam Kasimdzhanov (himself a former FIDE World Champion).

True, Karjakin had a nice win against Caruana's Petroff in Round 12, but Caruana showed the qualities of a champion in immediately coming back with consecutive wins. Furthermore, his Petroff scored 2.5/4 in the event.

I hope you found my analysis of this key game instructive and useful!
