As we look forward to this World Chess Championship match, we could ask ourselves questions like: Where will it be? Will Ding play?
In this blog I will try to cover some of these topics and some of these two chess players´ recent games.
Let me first answer some easy quick questions. Who is playing? Well, it should be
Ding (World Champion)

vs.
Gukesh (Canidates Winner 2024)

Games:
Ian vs Ding World Chess Championship 2023
This game was chaotic, and in the end Ding won...he hasn´t really played recently in any big event so most players think Gukesh will win.
Gothamchess and his recap of this game. He also shows two other games:
Praggnanandhaa vs Gukesh Canidates 2024
Gukesh completely controlled the game, got rid of all white´s attack and just played strong, finding a good bishop move that won the game.
Location:
Not announced yet, but most likely it will be held in Europe as many other World Chess Championships have been held there or Asia.
Will Ding Play:
Even though I wish it was a match like Hikaru vs Gukesh, I think Ding will defend his title of World Chess Champion.
Who Will Win:
This will be found out as the tournament progresses...but it will be a chaotic match, somewhat similar to the 2023 World Chess Championship...where both players will have many chances. Many people think that Gukesh is the favorite as he is younger and has been playing tournaments; whereas Ding hasn´t really been playing. I have a poll set up here on chess.com in the forums and nearly 76% of people are voting that Gukesh will win...well, what happened in the Canidates this year? Polls started with high hopes for Fabiano, Hikaru, and Ian, but none of them won. So what do I expect? Another exciting chess tournament!!!
Final Thoughts:
for who you think will win and if there is any possibility of Hikaru playing against Gukesh.
