Last night, I got to watch Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. I won't spoil anything, so feel free to read if you haven't seen it yet.

So, the greatest part of the movie, in my opinion, was the animation. I've never seen a movie that was animated like that. It's a combination of a regular animated movie, but with random bits of comic book design. It's really clever, and I thought it was a great idea.

As for the characters, I liked them, but I was conflicted because some of them are not at all how they're supposed to be in the comics. I mean, I know the story writers were trying to be clever and put new perspectives on them, and I'm not saying it was bad, it's just hard for me to get used to these "new versions". That being said, my favorite Spider-person is Spider-Gwen (I mean seriously, who doesn't like Spider-Gwen?). I think the only one I didn't like was Spider-Ham.

The story line was pretty good. Don't worry, no spoilers 🙂. I'll just say that I enjoyed it, and there were some nice easter eggs from the live-action Spider-Man movies (Speaking of that, did you know that Miles Morales was mentioned in Spider-Man: Homecoming? True story). I also like the songs that they used in the movie (Post Malone's Sunflower).

So, on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this movie a 6 or a 7. It's better than most animated movies, in my opinion, but it's doesn't compare to the majority of MCU movies. And when you watch it, there is a post-credits scene, so make sure to stay for that.

Thank you for reading, and I'll see you next time.
