Welcome back to blog #34! Today I will be listing some honorable mentions for the best movies ever. Starting with...
GRAN TURISMO: BASED ON A TRUE STORY
Going into this movie, I didn't really know what to expect. I thought it was going to be that kind of movie that was like "YOU CAN DO IT!" and then 3 long and boring hours later the main character does it. But that's not how this movie went. This movie was actually SO GOOD, I might even update my top 10 list. In the trailer, I saw the main character Jann and his girlfriend dancing together and I thought to myself: "Oh no... is this movie going to be too romantic to the point that it's not even about racing anymore?" This has happened in many sports films before like American Underdog. I thought this movie was going to be a funny football movie... but it was neither of those things. 2 minutes of the movie is about football and the rest is about his love life. ( There is ONE funny part but... the overall movie was not intended to be funny... ) Anyways, I thought that Gran Turismo was going to be like that but NO! Neill Blomkamp, the director of the film, did an AWESOME job with this film. I recommend this to anyone who is sigma... and who is not. ( There is an f-bomb dropped though so please be mindful of that 🙃 )
TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: MUTANT MAYHEM
Believe it or not, this was the first TMNT thing I had ever seen before. I didn't really have any interest in turtles with nun-chucks coming out of the sewers but then I saw THIS... TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: MUTANT MAYHEM. Seth Rogan did a great job with this movie and captured the teens of this generation very well through this film and even though this was the first TMNT movie I had ever watched, they did a great job telling the backstory. There was a well-thought plot and I cannot WAIT for the second movie to come out! ( Also coming soon... a new TMNT CARTOON TV series! More details coming soon in an upcoming blog! )
JUMANJI: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE
This movie is a fresh and WAY more fun take on the 1st Jumanji movie. I have never seen the original before because it looks... intense... 😂 This movie is SO much better ( I can tell ) from the 1st movie with Robin Williams. In this film, there are many great actors like Kevin Hart, ( Sigma ) Jack Black, ( Sigma ) Bobby Cannavale who is from the Ant-Man movies, Paul Blart, Nut Job 2, Sing 2, etc, ( Sigma ) and also Karen Gillen who also played Nebula from Guardians Of The Galaxy. ( Sigma ) Great cast, great plot, funny jokes, and REALLY fun action scenes.
CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS: THE FIRST EPIC MOVIE
I know this movie is intended for 7 year old kids but it's just SO GOOD. I laughed the hardest I had ever laughed...... ever when I saw this movie for the first time. Ed Helms, Kevin Hart, Nick Kroll, Thomas Middleditch, Kristen Schaal, and Leslie David Baker are all in this fire movie. Even to this day I LOVE this movie. 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
DOLITTLE
I watched this movie for the first time a couple of days ago not really knowing anything about it. And then I watched it... and it was SOOOOO funny. Both Iron Man and Spider-Man return in this film. 😂 ( Robert Downey JR. and Tom Holland ) This movie is fire with a PACKED cast. The jokes were all funny and I laughed almost every 2 minutes... correction, I DID laugh every 2 minutes. This movie is probably the most underrated movie ever. It got a 15% on the tomatometer. This movie deserved a 85% at the LEAST. Selena Gomez, Emma Thompson, Rami Malek, John Cena, Craig Robinson, Kumail Ali Nanjiani, Octavia Spencer, Antonio Banderas, and many others also appear in this film. Both of these films get BETTER AND BETTER every time I see them. 🔥
