Marvel V.S. Star Wars: A Battle For The Ages.
The amount of people comparing Marvel and Star Wars is absolutely insane. Some people say Marvel is terrible and Star Wars is better and some people say Star Wars is terrible and MARVEL is better. No one can agree on one answer... and none of it's improving.
Let's start with Star Wars. Dating ALL the way back to The Force Awakens, Star Wars hasn't been doing so well.

In my opinion, The Force Awakens was the best Star Wars movie so I'm not entirely sure why it got so much hate. My thoughts are that it just wasn't as epic and nostalgic as the original Star Wars fans thought it was going to be with the new characters and actors.

I wouldn't say this movie was terrible but I definitely had higher hopes. When I first saw the trailer, I was SO PUMPED to see Rey's training with Luke but the whole thing with him wanting to "End Jedi" or whatever was just dumb in my opinion.

Believe it or not, I enjoyed this movie. People say it was a terrible ending to the Skywalker saga and that it was nothing like the original movies but I thought it had a pretty satisfying ending and it was overall fun to watch. ( The Emperor coming back was a little stupid tho )

Could've been an AWESOME hour and a half long movie but instead ended up being an 8 episode long snooze fest. The first 4 episodes were actually really good, but then it all just went downhill from there. It got super boring and unnecessarily long that I almost fell asleep in the middle of the finale.

Awesome introduction to the Mandolorian's character, loved Baby Yoda/Grogu, ( Whater you wanna call him ) IG was really funny, but the one thing I will say is that I don't think Moff Gideon's character was developed enough. What I mean by this is that it felt like this random dude just all of a sudden became this crazy super powerful villan as if he'd been a big part of the show the whole time, when in reality, he was only in 2 episodes... just saying... 🤓

MUCH weirder than the first season but still an overall pretty good show. ( That whole thing with that frog woman or whatever was REALLY weird )

There's a lot to unpack in the season. First of all, the whole thing with Dr. Pershing was just SO stupid I wanted to throw my TV to the bottom of the ocean, second of all, the whole thing with "Uniting the animals" was kinda dumb to me since I never really liked Bo Katan from the very beginning. Thirdly... don't get me wrong, I love Jack Black but... WHY is he, Lizzo, and Christopher Lloyd all in a STAR WARS show?! Go do Kung Fu Panda 5 or Back to the Future: Part IV for all I care. Just stick to the things you're good at, please. 😂
ANYWAYS, I thought that the last few episodes were awesome and I think they did a pretty good job of wrapping it up... for now. ( MANDOLORIAN AND GROGU COMING SOON )
My point is, throughout the past 8 years, Star Wars has just been going off the rails... which is a coincidence because that's also EXACTLY what happened to MARVEL: after Endgame/Far From Home, everything just started to blow up.

Sure, Brie Larson is not the best actress, I get it; but this movie should not have gotten THAT much hate. It's was a pretty good movie, in my opinion.

As you can see, over the past few years, both Marvel AND Star Wars have just been falling out of line. But the real question is: can they still resurrect themselves? Or is it too late?
UPCOMING STAR WARS:
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew- I think this show is going to be boring so I'm not sure this will help Star Wars very much. BUT, it's the first Star Wars show that's TV-PG so more kids will probably watch it.
Star Wars: Andor Season 2- Based on Andor season one's success, I can see why Star Wars would want to continue the series so this MIGHT help them if it's executed well. ( I didn't even watch this show because I heard some bad stuff was in it so I couldn't care less 💩 )
The Mandalorian & Grogu- I'm guessing Star Wars noted that season 3 of the Mandalorian didn't do as well so I'm hoping they won't go down that road again. I think this is a great opportunity for Star Wars to do a lot of different things like expanding on Grogu's backstory, more on the Mandolorian, and diving deeper into Zeb from Rebels. Let's hope it doesn't turn out to be absolute trash! 🤞😁🤞
Star Wars: Ahsoka Season 2- I don't really know WHY Star Wars is doing another season of this show; it seems very unnecessary due to the fact that season 1 wasn't even that good so I do not think this will help them a whole lot.

Marvel Studios- Captain America: Brave New World- REVIEW 🔥
Marvel Studios- Thunderbolts*- REVIEW 🔥
Marvel Studios- Fantastic Four: First Steps- I think Marvel REALLY needs this so if it flops, Marvel is doomed. ( Because, like......... Doctor Doom??? GET IT??? )
Marvel Studios- Ironheart- I don't think people are gonna like this show because Marvel's replacing Iron Man with a character no one really liked......... even though I thought she was pretty cool.
Marvel Studios- Eyes Of Wakanda- Wish it was live-action but What If...? did well so MAYBE... just MAYBE... Marvel knows what their doing. 💩
Marvel Studios- Avengers: Doomsday & Secret Wars- I think BOTH Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars are going to be essential to the MCU so yes, these 2 movies will DEFFINITLY help Marvel unless they screw everything up, of course. 😂 ( MORE INFO COMING SOON IN UPCOMING BLOG )
With all this to say, in my opinion, Marvel is in the lead right now. They're ( Usually ) pretty quick to release a project, it doesn't take them 6 years, they don't ONLY focus on prequels but they keep the series going, they don't drag anything out too long though, the fighting is ( Dare I say ) 20 times better than in Star Wars, and it's just overall... better. 😂😂😂
I will admit, Marvel HAS had it's fair share of ups and downs, Star Wars as well, but I think Marvel just has a better way of doing things.
If you're a Star Wars fan, just watch ONE Marvel movie and your life will be forever changed.
