What Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars Means For the MCU...
You've probably heard by now that due to controversy with Johnathon Majors, the actor of Kang, "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty" had been cancelled and replaced by "Avengers: Doomsday". If you haven't, then... SURPRISE!
Doomsday and Secret Wars are the next 2 Avengers movies coming soon. They're being directed ( Of course ) by the only 2 people that actually know what they're doing and how to make an Avengers movie: Anthony and Joe Russo.
The films were originally supposed to be directed by Deadpool & Wolverine's Shawn Levi, but he turned down the offer and now it's being directed by the Russo Brothers. I think this is the way to go because if Shawn Levi was confirmed to direct these movies, it would've ended up being rated R because he filled it with too much Deadpool and ruined the entire MCU...
ANYWAYS, there are a lot of different ways Marvel can take this... but how will they, really?
Let's start with Doomsday. If you didn't already know, RDJ is returning to the MCU NOT as Iron Man, but as the infamous DOCTOR DOOM. How is this even possible?!? There are 3 different ways they could do this:
- An Iron Man variant ( Doctor Doom )
- Marvel completely ignores the fact that he looks like Tony Stark and he wears a mask the entire time
- This whole thing was just to make fans happy
I think the one that makes the most sense is for him to be an Iron Man variant from the universe of Fantastic Four: First Steps but maybe Marvel will just go insane and surprise us with something totally different... who knows. Doctor Doom is a Fantastic Four character so maybe we should start there.

I'm almost 100% sure that RDJ will return to the MCU in Fantastic Four: First Steps. It's really the only thing that makes sense: he's from a different universe and then in Doomsday, he comes to the Avengers universe. Even if he's only in the upcoming Fantastic 4 movie for 2 minutes, that's fine. But I think the only way Marvel could properly introduce RDJ as Doctor Doom is in that film.
Doomsday and Secret Wars are probably going to feel a lot like Infinity War and Endgame. Doctor Doom is going to be the Thanos character, ( He probably won't be defeated in Doomsday but will also return in Secret Wars as well ) the epicness level will be turned up to a 10 for Secret Wars just like in Endgame, but who will be the leader of the Avengers now? COMMENT BELOW!
Now onto Secret Wars. Secret Wars is probably going to be the Endgame of the Multiverse saga, with all the Avengers coming back together to beat Doctor Doom and other Marvel villains.
There are an INFINITE amount of things Marvel could do with this film: the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, the Thunderbolts*, the Young Avengers, etc.
I'm guessing Marvel is leaning towards the idea of bringing the X-Men and the Fantastic Four into the MCU. We got our first glimpse of the X-Men in the post-credits scene of The Marvels where Monica is trapped in the X-Men universe with her mom and Beast in a hospital. What does this mean? Now that we know inter-dimensional traveling is possible, I'm willing to bet that the X-Men and the Fantastic Four are finally going to meet the Avengers very, very soon... ( But that also means Deadpool... so I'm getting extremely worried )
These 2 films are going to change the MCU and take it to a whole new level; I'm super excited and can't wait. 🔥
