Have you ever heard of The Queen's Gambit? It's one of the many chess openings including The King's Gambit, The French Defense, The Englund Gambit, and hundreds more! The Queen'sGambit starts with d4, d5, c4.

The Queen's Gambit is one of the oldest openings in chess, alongside The King's Gambit. It was mentioned in the Gottingen manuscript of 1940, and was later analyzed by Gloachino Greco in the 1700s. There's many variations of this opening, such as (after 1. d4 d5 2. c4): 2...e6 (Queen's Gambit Declined)

2...dxc4 (Queen's Gambit Accepted)

2...c6 (Slav Defense)

Personally if you play the Queen's Gambit Declined (playing as black), I would go with the Slav Defense. Because it moves one of your pawns closer to white's c pawn, adding pressure to the queenside. But if you play the Queens Gambit Accepted (as white), I would play e4 100%.

As you can see, white has taken over the center, and black has a pawn hanging. So it puts pressure onto two things at once, which might overwhelm the opponent. But Nf3 is also a good option to play in the Queen's Gambit Accepted.

What do you think?
