Event #81 Rocks
This is an event that is part of a variant called event chess. More about event chess can be read here.
Event #81 Rocks
Condition: None
Both players chooses an empty square on their board half (1-4th rank for white; 5-8th rank for black). First the event starter chooses and then the other player. There are rocks on those squares. No piece can land on a square with a rock and only jumpers (knights) can jump over them.
Example 1:
If the event started here, the marked blue squares indicate the squares white can choose from. The marked red squares indicate the squares black can choose from.
Example 2:
Whites bishop and blacks rook are blocked by the rock. White can not play moves like Be5 or Bf6 and black can not play moves like Re5 and Re4.
Example 2:
Knights can jump over rocks, although they can not move to them, so black can not play Ne5.
