How to Make GREAT PLANS that WIN Games
The opening phase is done and you find yourself in the middlegame.
It's up to you to figure out how you're going to improve your position, how you're going to make progress and ultimately you're trying to decide what is going to be your plan for the position you have on the board.
How do you come up with this PLAN of action?
All good plans do one of two things:
1. Grow Your Advantages
2. Lessen/Eliminate Your Disadvantages
And it's also important to understand when coming up with a plan is good idea and when it's not the correct thing to do!
Once you recognize that you are in a quiet position and have the time to make a plan, then you have to begin with an evaluation of the current position. Only after you've done this can you decide how to work with your advantages and against your disadvantages which will help you to come up with a plan to work towards.
