National Chess Championships Day 1
The 25th National Chess Championship and the 10th Women's National Chess Championship started today. It is scheduled from January 26 to February 1, 2025. The fireworks began early in the open section with interesting pairings in the 11 Round-Robin Championship Format.

With interesting matchups, it was one filled with intense struggle and opening surprises.
The live Broadcast of Games was halted due to metal tables and incompatibility of DGT boards on them, which was solved after Round 1.
Two interesting battles of Round one between FM Kshitij Bhandari Vs Prodigy Purushottam Silwal and FM Rijendra Rajbhandari vs Aashish Phuyal will be added soon.

Women's Section
With new faces and some participants very young(below 14 years), the field is filled with youth and experience.
4 Players are sharing the lead after the end of today's play. The Women Section is slowly heating up.
