Club Wars Series - The Puzzle Journey #4

3000 in Puzzles is here!

On August 11, 2021 I officially reached 3000 in puzzles with the puzzle below

Since I finished my journey a full month and a half ahead of schedule I am leaving the remainder of my diamond membership to increasing that rating even more! However, I will discontinue playing puzzles as much as before and will now shoot for 2000 in 3 Check.

Let's talk about the happenings of the journey from 2900-3000

After posting the 3rd edition of the Puzzle Journey in which Nightly confidently states the goal he will try and not tilt below 2900 before he reaches 3000 he returns to puzzles.

At this time he was 2933 in puzzles and the high was 2942.

Nightly was humiliated/humored by the fact that after reaching a new high of 2945 he then tilted to 2890....He ended his puzzles training on August 10 at 2904 which was 41 rating lower than his high.

On August 11, 2021 Nightly played many puzzles and only went below 2900 once all day, and that was into the 90s for 1 puzzle. After that he was able to push very fast to 3000.

What got you here?

This may surprise you, but I actually got more than 30 rating in my final leg of the journey from incorrect answers. To be exact, I believe it was 36 rating points I earned from incorrect answers in my last 25 puzzles!

Below is a table with all of the final 25 puzzles that brought me to my first 3000 rating of 3008.

After reaching 3008 I paused my puzzles for a while. But, when I tried another puzzle I got it incorrect. Luckily I only went down to 3001, so I was still in the 3000s

After this I reached 3009 by getting +8 and that is when I decided to stop. I couldn't push my luck, and I needed to wait for @RoyalKnight101 to see my rating for him to accept my win.

On August 12, 13 and 14 I began to grind again. I found that after I reached to 3K puzzles seemed to be easier for me. I tilted down to 2940s in a couple minutes, then back up to 3040s.

Overall, as a 3Ker I feel like it is easier to sustain my rating than before, not sure why.

Since I reached the rating of 3000 more than a month before my goal date (October 1) I still have that much of a diamond membership left (again, thanks for Chess.com for the sponsorship here) I am planning a new goal.

Before October 1, 2021 my goals are

1. Main goal: bring my pass rate from 43% correct to at least 50% correct. This is going to be tough, I have gotten almost 600 more wrong than I did right and when I started my journey it was only 500 more wrong answers
2. If possible I hope to reach at least 3500 rating before October. However, this goal is not very serious. I am happy about my rating, anything higher is just the profit
