Hello Fans, Readers and Everyone!

Today I will be covering a very Important Chess Topic: Never Give Up!

Now as players move up with their knowledge, They will discover more and more ideas on Techniques, Skills, and Your own Style for the game! Garry Kasparov once quoted to ALL new players and learning: 'Good Luck in the Black and White Jungle!' An amazing example of what Chess is in a point of view.

Now lets get to the highlight of this Blog....

Chess Topic ~ Never Give Up!

I picked a little bit of a famous game from no other than the Current No.1 player in the World: Magnus Carlsen

In the position coming up Magnus Is going to be playing White!  This is a game in the Middlegame but it is not looking so well for him...... Oh well lets see.....

(above is the current position)

Now judging from above you can see that Magnus doesn't have a good center and black has more space tho magnus has some active bishops as well.

Now above ^ you can see that White took a losing game and turned it into a masterpiece, White went on to win in the next 10+ moves. He may be down a piece but ask yourself Blacks Bishop on b7 is doing nothing as well as the rook, The knight and other bishop are both Pinned and whites pieces are just having a Party!

Now lets talk of what were the moves about? (I will cover the highlights only)

You can see that on move 1 white made a huge blunder because on the next move: f4 Black will win the piece because the pawn cuts the bishops protection to the knight. But Magnus will not give up! He creates counter play on the next move: h4! going for the King!

Black picks of the piece next with fxe3, and white plays Qxe3 notice that the knight is pinned... Black plays h6 and white makes a wonderful move activating the queen, Qc5! Black cannot capture because the whole center will fall to white. Black then defends the pawn with Bb7.

White now saves the knight with Ne4, Black plays Re6 and white now breaks black! h5! Now for an interesting moment: Black plays Qb6 offering a trade of queens. When you are attacking you don't really want to do that but white found the amazing g5! going in for the win. Here black took with hxg5*.

I will move trough the next moves which is basic development and maneuvering. 11. Rxh5 Rg6 12. Rxg5 Rxg5 (some trades) White takes the pawn with Nxg5!! black can't take because the whole army will fall next....

15. Ra6 Black gives up his rook because he is annoyed that whites bishop is AMAZING and Blacks isn't but remember (Piece activity can be better than points sometimes).... 17. Ne4 the last move which is just SENSATIONAL Magnus Carlsen is threatening the Brilliant move: Nf6+ a fork and everything is pinned! White went on to win the game....

If black didn't play: hxg5 and instead went for the trade of queens white would have played...

A Nice quote also said once was: 'Our Greatest Weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time' -Thomas Edison Trust your Intuition and have fun!
