World Open Prequel

If you have been reading my blogs on bad internet connection (if not the go check them out) then you will know I have had some trouble with internet lately, so I have decided that I am going to play in an over the board tournament (not the only reason). It is called the World Open and is held every year in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and there is over $225,000 in prizes. I am playing in the U1800 section where the winner receives $12,000. There are prizes all the way down to about tenth place. I will be playing the five day schedule with 1 round Wednesday and two rounds Thursday through Sunday. Unfortunately I will be taking a bye in the last round, but besides that I am playing all rounds, I am also hoping to annotate each of my games In a blog for you guys. Then you can follow my progress (or maybe not). Look for 1 or 2 games/blogs a day. I hope you enjoy the games and I hope I play well, and maybe if I win some money I can upgrade my membership to Diamond!
