An opinion of the Chess website Puzzle/select mode/training/rated section:

Some chess alignment screens (or schemes), I just wonder how a certain move is worthwhile.

An exchange of a Queen for a Queen does not seem like a good idea, or even a lesser piece such as a knight  for a bishop or vice versa. maybe this is my inexperience showing. I admit I am a beginner.

There were situations where I just completely overlooked a move that was easy & an outright blunder.

Before the current reset of this mode I had nearly 4,000 attempts and a success rate of 52 to 53%.

Currently after a reset to 400 rating, I have built it up to over 1,000 in rating with a success %age of about 82%.  Basically I am saying the corpse is showing signs of twitching or movement. The patient is alive !! The Beginnings of a foundation are starting to emerge.

Please allow me some humor here, & it's important to  know when to break off to keep the mind batteries fresh. Did someone once say all masters (grandmasters) were once beginners?

Not so arrogant to suggest I am on the GM path, I don't foresee much traveling in my future anyway.

I feel I am finally starting to show some signs of life with this activity, chess is starting to become a hobby after 8 months. Thanks anyone for reading this, hope it's not too boring !

I feel it's good to know how people or players got their start with chess. Once again, not everyone starts playing chess at 4 or 5 & become a grandmaster by 18.

This is real life, & maybe with some time I could get into a tournament or two locally !! Thanks all.
