So, well yesterday somewhere in between afternoon and dusk 🌆 I decided to play a game with chatGPT. What inspired me to do it was the fact that @Gothamchess aka Levy has made a few videos on youtube and he expressed that this AI is a complete moron in chess and often it would make illegal moves. I thought for a while and I decided that I have to play GPT myself.
So let's get into the game.
I asked if he wants to play a game with me and he said
"Of course! I'd would love to play chess with you."
Then he asked me if I will be white or black. I choosed to be white. And then he said that his move is 1. e4. But I was white so I wrote excuse me but aren't I white and white goes first and ha apologised.
I played 1. e4 and he responded with 1..... e5. So far normal. I played my Vienna game with 2. Nc3. Then it said that it is a classic opening and he played 2.... Nf6. Now I played the Vienna gambit with f4 challenging blacks centre and this is what I usually play when I face Nf6. Now it said that it was a bold move with the King's gambit and definitely it was kinda like that but it is a more advantageous approach. It declined the gamble with 3.... d5 and I was like wow how did this complete bozo ( or atlast that's what Levy says) find the only right move. Now I took on e5 and he took my pawn on e4 with it's knight ♞ and then I played My queen line with Qf3!?.
It expressed this move as sneaky and it played one of the main moves which is 5.... Nc6 and I pinned 📍 the knight ♞.
Now he said 6. Bf5 which is incorrect. So I decided to correct it by saying 6...Bf5 obviously because he was black not white. I said my move is 7. Qf5 (BTW I meant 7. Qxf5) and he went 7... Qh4+ hmm 🤔 interesting shout out to @Zunayed_781038. Then I played 8. g3 blocking the check.
It played 9....... Qe7 and I played Nxd3 after this. And he said 10...... Nxe5?? Which is invalid and so I said that it is invalid and so It decided to play Be7 and attacking my queen. I then said that it's queen is occupying the square and it is not attacking anything. Then it said 10.... Qxe5+ and the move is valid but it is definitely not a check.
But I only decided to just tell it that it is capturing a pawn ♟ not a knight ♞ . I played Qxe5+ (check) and also I said it to not take my queen because his knight ♞ is pinned.
It said a very funny thing to me and that is that he will not take my queen and play 11. Nxe5 Taking my queen 👑 anyway though the ♞ is pinned. I was like what! 🤣🤣. And then I said that I just said it is pinned and it cannot move. And we'll my dear blog viewers it decided to fly a knight ♞ from a another dimension and place it on f3 tring to fork my queen and king 👑
. I said that also illegal. I mentioned the only legal moves of GPT in the position.
It played Kd8 and I took the knight ♞ on e4 and we'll it played Be7 after which I took the knight ♞ on c6 doubling and I took the bishop ♝ on e7 check and when the king 👑 moved to c8 I played Qxc7# (check a matea, where is my leate).
