Hello fellow blog readers today you are reading another post by @Utkarsho. This blog is all about one of my favorite streamers, @Witty_Alien's opening that shocked 😲 the chess world. The name of the opening is the Alien gambit.

What is the Alien Gambit?

This is the Alien Gambit! Though it may seem very bad and it is bad according to komodo and stockfish but As witty said chess is a practical game, It is played by humans not computers. And this is completely right. So, even if it is bas it is very trick and fun to play. Black is only better if he plays very carefully. But most of them won't so it is a fine opening for bullet and maybe blitz but in rapid you and your opponent should be atlast bellow 1800 elo but even there is still not going to be so effective because your opponent has more time ⌚ to think and find right moves. And you should definitely not play it in daily 🌼. People take a lot about this opening now a days especially in the Witty Aliens club(link- https://www.chess.com/club/Witty-Aliens) and it's discord channel named the Spaceship. Not just witty but also me and popular chess.com streamers like GM @hikaru, IM @Gothamchess, IM Eric Rosen and so on.

So, let's learn the Alien gambit-

Variation 1:

It is surprisingly the most played move especially in the ameture level and that is a BLUNDER(??). Yes it is true. Some people may think this is a logical move but they forgot their king was f7 and thus Ne5+ forking the king and the bishop winnes 🥇. There is another trick the after the king moves back to e7 you may play Bishop ♝ to c4 and though your sacrificing a queen you can mate the opponent with Bf7# if he takes the queen 👑.

How ever this is not good because of the following combination.

That is the fist variation.

Variation 2:

Bishop ♝ to f5 is not strong but not very weak as well. However the above line can punish this move very badly.

Variation 3:

Maybe this is not the exact line but it has all the main ideas and plans of the alien gambit. It explores the weak diagonals which was weekend due to the ♞ sac and the h6 push showing the no parking 🅿 sign. The attacking plans are putting the ♞ or as witty says the pony on the center of the board and putting the bishop on a c4 or d3 which is why at the beginning we Don't check the king with Bc4+ because the bishop likes to go to d3 too, plus we castle and put the Rook on the semi open file also targeting the weak e6 pawn ♟ and finally after some trades a devastating sacrifice of a bishop ♝ takes h6 opening up the king.  In some variations Bxg7 sacrifices may also be possible.

Variation 4( the best move):

c5 is by far the best move recommend by stockfish. Their are 3 variation that you can play against.

No.1 is c3.

No.2 is Ne5+.

No.3 is d5.

In this blog I will only show you d5.

Here is a cool trap that many people fell for.

I that's why personally prefer d5 because it takes some space and due to the trap.

But the other two is also reasonable. But one thing about No.2 is the this can happen.

Though White can still have a powerful attack this line can neutralize the power of the Alien gambit. One of my games went like this.

I was black.
