New fresh attacking idea's against the Pirc!

The pirc ( 1. e4 1..d6 )? That's a boring stupid opening, that (sharp aggresive) e4 players hate to play against? You just lose against it because you just ran out of good moves and get destroyed?

Just take a short look to the idea that seems you the best! Learn enjoy my blog, and defeat the Pirc with new idea's!

Does this look similiar to you? And do you just lose against it because you just simply ran out of good moves?

Here some new idea's we will discuss:

  • Against the pirc with: Be3 f3 O-O-O setup
  • KID Sämisch setup with c4 AND Be3 f3 O-O-O setup
  • KID Setup with c4 and Nf3, Be2 ....KID= King's Indian Defence
  • b3?! Bb2 O-O-O followed by g4 and h4
  • Austrian attack with f4!
  • g3 Bg2 setup
  • Byrne Variation
  • 2 nice openingtraps against the Pirc in the Byrne variation

Be3 f3 O-O-O setup

The idea is to get a kind of Siccilian structure, but then against a pawn on e5 exept of c5

From here just play chess like normal, this will end up in a aggresive game for both sides.

White choices his attack at the kingside (because black's king is there) and black attackis at the queensside because White's king is there.....

KID Sämisch setup with c4 AND Be3 f3 O-O-O setup

Slightly else then our first setup, the same but with c4, so we get a normal KID sämisch game

White attacks with g4 and h4 and Bh6, Bd3 followed by Ne2 Ng3 or g4 Be2 Nh3-Nf2 h4 and castles O-O(-O), and black searches counterplay with a6, b5 c5 Qa5 Nf6,Ne8,Nc7 Bd7, Rb8 idea's

A normal KID setup against the pirc!

This is a normal KID (King's Indian Defence) game, a lot of intresting idea's for both sides, too much to say all, and I don't know much of them myself ....but examples, like Ne8 followed by f5, Nh5 Nf4, Ng3, if d5 as white once you have Nc5 and a5....but normaly black attacks at the kingside  with f7-f5-f4 and g7-g5-g4-g3 and h7-h5-h4 and so on and white will go for b4 c5 Rc1 breaks on the queenside.....

b3?! Bb2 O-O-O
It looks like the first example but then with a pawn on b3 and a bishop on b2 and not on e3
Not on e3 is big thing, it does give white extra power on the a1-h8 diagonal but it weakens the c1-h6 diagonal so be careful for Bh6 tricks where black will win your queen....
Here a instructive game I played recently in a online blitz:

Austrian attack with f4!

Intresting, fun, and full of attacking idea's!!! H4 O-O-O Bd3, or more like a KID setup with f5, g4, h3 and then later h4 and g5!

KID SETUP AS WHITE: g3 Bg2 setup

For those who like the KID as black this is a nice choice.... A KID setup with all the idea's... too much to talk about, there is enough information to write hundreds of books of it...but for example the f4 break, or when the centre and kingside gets closed you could go for play on the queenside with for example a3, Rb1 b4 idea's

Byrne Variation with Bg5 and Qd2:

A very aggresive way to punish black, Bh6 and h4-h5 O-O-O idea's come to mind

2 nice almost similiar openingtraps vs the Pirc in the Byrne variation without Qd2:

Thank you for learning from my blog!

Follow! And get new information every few weeks!

It has been a pleasure for me and you to create this blog...for me so it's nice because I almost always struggle against this opening....and this gave me motivation to look against this before boring Pirc...Thanks!

And greethed, William
