Hi Guys. This is my 1st blog and I plan to start talking abt chess aspects. Today lets take a look at the Middle Game. The Middle game is one of the most Important aspects of the game. Most game are decided in the middle game. Today we will Look at the most important part of the middle game :

- Piece Activity.

Piece Activity is the deciding factor in most games. The more active your pieces are the better. Lets Look at what are the benefits of each piece when They are active

Knights :-

Knights have the power to jump over pieces. This is very Useful when the night id in the center of the Board. It is a very useful Blockading , restricting and attacking Piece. When the Knight is on the corner of the board such as 'a1' 'h1 'a8'  and 'h8' the knight can only move 2 squares. This significantly reduces the effectiveness of the knight. When it is on the side of the board it can only move 4 squares. Its better than the corner but not the best. When it is on 'e4','e5',d4' and 'd5' the knight penetrates into the opposite camp and cause havoc. This is where its most effective.

Bishops:-

Bishops have a long range they are like our modern snipers in the army. They are best when they are Outside the pawn structure. If they are trapped inside the pawn structure their effectiveness is reduced. So try to place your Bishops Outside your pawn sturcture.

Rooks:-

Rooks belong on open files. This is the key in finding a place for your rook. If there is a file open Grab it! Rooks are soo effective once they get an open file or even better your opponents 7th rank. They are called 'pigs' as they are soo effective in doing the dirty Jobs of gobbling up all the pawns on your Opponents side in the endgame. If u put it behind a pawn in the middle game generally it is not good for your rook as it is not being used to its full potential.

Queens:-

The Queen is the most powerful piece of the game. She has to take part in the middle game. The best place for the queen is in middle of the attack when she becomes a Menace to the opponent and has deal with many threats. Queens are also used as a diversion to a hidden plan on the opposite side of the board. So use your Queens Properly!!

This is all for Today!

We'll learn more about pawns in my next Blog!!

Thank You!!
