Chapter 1: Identifying Tactics
How to identify tactics? Well, different tactics have different meanings. For example, a fork is a tactic that attacks two or more pieces. You have to memorize different tactics and their meanings in order to identify tactics. Here are some examples of tactics and their own meanings:
1. Fork- a tactic that attacks two or more pieces that is not protected or defended.
2. Skewer- a tactic that attacks a high value piece in behind a low value piece.
3. Pin- targets a low value piece behind a high value piece
4. Windmill- Bishop and Rook paired diagonally with the Opponent King and repeating continuous checks.

You can spot tactics by searching around the board. It may be difficult but trust me, you'll get around with it. Checking for checks, captures and attacks may be helpful for your games to spot tactics. Here, have an example:
You saw the winning move was, Qxc3. An alternative was Rxb2+ that leads to checkmate in 6.
