  • Get Ready for the GameOn Chess Tournament in Vilnius, Lithuania

Agne, known for her engaging online streams, has long been passionate about popularizing chess in Lithuania. This tournament marks her first major step in making chess more accessible to both seasoned players and beginners alike. “Everyone is welcome to join,” she says, “whether you’re a pro or just starting to learn the game!”

Agne’s journey into the chess world has always been about more than just the competition. "For me, chess is about people," she says. "It’s about the connections we make, whether we're playing or simply sharing our love for the game." This idea of community-building is at the heart of her tournament.

Tournament Format

The tournament format will be a 7-round blitz swiss. There will be an event on Saturday and one on Sunday.

The tournament will be held at the Lithuanian Exhibition and Congress Center LITEXPO, located at Laisvės pr. 5, Vilnius. This year, GameOn, the largest gaming convention in the Baltic region, will take place all weekend, featuring a wide range of gaming activities. On Friday, there will also be a special concert with live video game music performed by a symphony orchestra and choir.

But that’s not all— popular streamers will be joining the event, adding even more excitement. In addition to the matches, attendees will have the unique opportunity to meet their favorite chess streamers in person. This is a fantastic chance for fans to connect with some of the personalities they follow online.

Alexandra Prado, a WCM from Bolivia with a FIDE rating of 1936, is known for her popular videos and chess traps on YouTube.
