Beautiful Opposite Colored Bishop Breakthrough
Here's a thing of beauty from this past week's Dojo Endgame tournament. (In the endgame tournaments, every game starts from the same endgame position, which none of the players know in advance. Through several rounds of playing it from both sides, chatting with other tournament participants, and watching the recording of master commentary, Dojo'ers emerge with a good understanding and practical skill of that particular position).
The winner of this game, Dobaata, ended up in first place in the under1500 section with 4-0, while the loser ended up in second, with only this blemish on their 3-1 record.
The Dojo is currently hosting an endgame-themed tournament bi-weekly, among various tournaments and matches occurring every couple days.
