In order to expand the excitement level of some of the special events and shows that the Dojo is putting together, we are starting to raise money for prize funds to attract star guests.

When you watch shows in the near future, you are likely to see a little donation bar like this:

It will make clear what event we are raising $$ for during that particular stream. 100% of donations raised in this way (and bits cheered during those shows) will go towards the event indicated. You can also add a note with your donation to make clear what event you want the $$ to go to, so if you really want to see the next season of Ultimate Sensei, you can use the note to direct a donation towards US while watching The Gauntlet.

I see this not only as a chance to get some exciting guests, but also as a chance for you to let the Dojo know what events you *want* to see. If a lot of donations come in for a certain event, we know to launch it asap. Of course we also always want to hear from you, so if there's something we aren't doing that you'd like to see, let us know, and we'll see if there is widespread interest using this donation tool.

The two events that we are starting off fundraising drives for are:

Ultimate Sensei Season 2 - Our coaching competition. Season 1 was a great success-- exciting and educational. Increasing the prize fund for this event will help us attract great coaches (who are asked to teach their students for free, on stream, for all to watch and learn from).

The Gauntlet - Our new chess gameshow, in which titled players take on various handicaps to score points against our viewers. "The Prize" accumulates week by week, and the contestants' try to top the leaderboard to win it. The larger the prize, the more famous the stars we can invite as contestants.

At some point down the road, we may use the donations as a way to support the Senseis-- as a source of stable income that makes the project long-term sustainable. But for now, the focus is still on elevating the quality of our content, and all $$ will be invested in our projects to that purpose.

Questions? We're always happy to discuss!
