GUKESH'S GRIT : LA RODA OPEN 2022

Gukesh won his first classical tournament of the year at the 48th edition of the La Roda International Open. He obtained an unbeaten 8/9 score to finish a half-point ahead of the competition
In the last blog, we covered Pragg's Reykjavik victory (link)
In the last round of Reykjavik Gukesh had a winning endgame against Pragg. If he had won that game he would have been the champion. Unfortunately, he lost and finished 17th place. A huge heartbreaking moment for the youngster.
But immediately after Reykjavik, Gukesh participated in La Roda Open and won the tournament convincingly! This clearly shows Gukesh's Grit!
