GOTW #3: The Arabian Steed

Hello, chess.com! My name is hitthepin, and welcome back to GOTW.

Take a moment to go back in the past, and you'll remember one my very first blog posts, GOTW #2. And no, not this season's GOTW #2. The very second GOTW that I had ever created.

It was a wild, forlorn time back then. A time before I didn't know how to annotate anything, a time where I made all sorts of silly moves that would make me cringe today, a time of youth and innocence and... okay, never mind. I'll stop with the analogies.

Anyways, within that game, a certain dark-squared Bishop managed to nearly single-handedly defeat almost the entire enemy army and clinch the win for his side. What an MVP that Bishop was.

Well, today, we're having a little throwback. In today's game, I shine the spotlight on a different piece, and show just how useful and powerful and army is when they actually coherently work together and stop making blunders left and right.

Without further ado, enjoy!

I quite enjoyed this game, and feel like I played mostly well. It just goes to show that up to a certain point, you can't just play random moves and try to beat your opponent on time. I'll be the first to admit to constantly trying to do that, constantly getting into bad positions, and constantly losing. It seems that even with such strict time constraints, good moves are still all that matters.
Thanks for reading! Since you've clearly spent so much effort reading through this post, why not put in a tiny bit more and leave a review telling me what you think? I'd greatly appreciate it. And if you've got nothing to do and want to lose all your faith in me and my chess playing skill, check out some of my other blitz games I played around this time:
Until next time!
