DISCLAIMER: I mean no offense to any of my opponet’s in any of my blog posts, including this one. Thank you!

Hello, everyone! It’s me, HitThePin, and I am so glad that you are now currently aiming your eyeballs at a screen and reading these words.

Dr. Tarrasch, often introduced as the founder of chess dogmatism, once said “the hardest thing to win is a won game.” And in this week’s game I certainly have to agree with the doctor.

With my opponent’s mistake, White manages to get up by the exchange after twenty-five moves, but it takes another 31  moves to finish the game off.

Perhaps the saying needs revision: “The longest thing it takes to win is a won game.” In this case, a REALLY LONG TIME.

Kudos to Waredude for his willingness to never give up!

As always, enjoy the game!

Postscript: Wardude is making a blog post about this very game! Days until release: It is out, and here is the link: https://chess.com/blog/waredude/GOTM-#2
