Another day at the European Club Cup in Halkidiki
The third round of the European Club Cup has been played this Sunday. Of course there are many interesting games to share with you dear readers, but I'd rather share with you my special experience of the day. My German team Werder Bremen faced the Macedonian team Alkaloid. It was an impossible task for us to get a good result as their line-up was the following:
- Ding (2804)
- Yu (2765)
- Andreikin (2723)
- Jakovenko (2752)
- Eljanov (2703)
- Kryvoruchko (2697).
It came as no surprise that Bremen lost the match with 1-5. It was a great opportunity however for me and my team members to play against a world class player. My game went against all (rating) odds well and I made a draw. Please see the comments below.
