I will begin this tutorial by saying that I leave out basic instructions that are implied with the use of social media.

Today, we will be taking a look at the social features that Chess.com has to offer.

Navigate to the left hand drop down and hover over "Home".  Another drop down will pop-up, select "Profile".
There are numbered features we will go over in today's guide. Feel free to skip ahead to each respective numbered section for more information.  Pictured below is the "Profile Page" format.  For all intents and purposes, we will use mine as an example.  Each numbered section will be listed in outline style below.

1. Edit Flair.

Select the "Pencil" button next to the arrow 1.
Select image from a variety of emotes and bling.

2. Update your social status.

Select the "Pencil" button next to arrow 2.
Type status.
Note: There is a character limit.

3. Site and Loyalty Recognition.

The different colors represent various "Site Contribution and Membership Titles" belonging to
Chess.com.

4. Edit Bio.

Navigate to the "Settings" cog in the lower left and click the "All Settings" cog.
Inside your main page of settings, scroll down to "About Me".
The editor is not new, it is just one feature many do not use to their advantage.
You may upload image, media (Youtube), or upload your own video file ("Insert/Edit Media").
Hyperlinks will work if you click the "Chain link" next to "Insert/Edit Link".
If you cannot find it, hover the mouse to locate the 5th to left option, and it should read "Insert/Edit Link".  Be sure to click "Save" after you are done with your masterpiece.

Once saved, navigate back to your profile page.
You will be able to inspect how much of your "Bio" is included by viewing this on the profile page.

5. Awards.

Below "Stats" is an "Awards" section.
The following screen will appear.

There are four segments of the "Awards page: "Achievements, Medals, Badges, Cheers".
The "Showcase" on the right can be customized by clicking on "Medals, Badges, or Cheers" and adding the item to your showcase.

Click the top section "Achievements".
Your earned badges will be listed along with the locked badges.
Unlocked badges have the ability to be easily copied via a "Share Link" on each one.

6. Notes (Not pictured).

Plain text only.
No hyperlinks, videos, or pictures.
Notice the difference between using the "Bio" and "Notes" sections for social links.

I hope you will enjoy the social features that Chess.com has to offer.

This tutorial leaves out basic instructions that are implied with the use of social media.
