Chess Ratings Equivalent to College Degrees in Chess Philosophy
So if you didn’t go to college. You are in luck!!! Even if you couldn’t complete the coursework, if college was too demanding, if you weren’t able to do because of the money or of the life issues, or whatever other reason that you had, you are in luck!!! Through the game of chess, you can earn your Unofficial Bachelor's of Science Degree in Chess Philosophy, your Unofficial Master's of Science Degree in Chess Philosophy, and your Unofficial Doctorate's of Science Degree in Chess Philosophy. What you need for a B.S. in Chess Philosophy is 1800+ rating in any chess platform. What you need for a M.S. in Chess Philosophy is 2200+ rating in any chess platform. What you need for a D.S. in Chess Philosophy is 2600+ in any chess platform or be a IM/GM in chess. My reasoning for this is that through my 29 years of life, through the Grad School of Hard Knocks, I have learned a lot of advance concepts from getting my Bachelor's of Science Degree from Kutztown University as well as having jobs in the Food Industry as bartender as well as Pharmaceutical industry as a scientist at Merck. I have very good bartending skills. I have learned during those experiences that Quality Control/Quality Assurance (QC/QA) in the science field is as good as a person with a Doctorate degree in science. The reason why that I am very good with bartending and QC/QA is that I have an amazing memory because the game of chess helped me strengthen my memory to a very high level!!! I am able to pinpoint many little issues and terminate them immediately!!! I am able to fix the issues with high efficiency right away. I have learn how to do QC/QA at a very high level because of my chess, science, bartending, and umping baseball/softball games. As far as my chess accomplishments, I have many of them. So far since I graduated college 6 years ago (I graduated in 2013), I have won $6000 in semi-professional chess tournaments. I have placed in 9 big money tournaments. I got 1st place three times (2013 Liberty Bell Open U1500 Section, 2013 National Chess Congress U1800 Section, and 2018 Philadelphia Open U2000 Section). This past summer in July 2019, I lost a heartbreaking 2nd place match in the 9th round of the 2019 World Open U2000 Section. It was a true Championship Battle!!! We went going back and forth in that 2nd place match! I have also beat plenty of NMs/FMs in 5-minute chess.com blitz games. But anyhow, this article is about proving how chess ratings are equivalent to college-level degrees. Another reason why that high-level chess ratings are equivalent to college-level degrees are that chess kids aged 5-18 as well as adults without college degrees are beating chess adults with Doctorate's Degrees, chess adults with Master's Degrees, chess adults with Bachelor's Degrees. It doesn't matter what the Doctorate/Masters/Bachelor Degree adults ratings are, the main thing that matters is that kids and/or adults without college degrees are beating high-level working professional in a very intellectual game of chess. This shows that the kids and/or adults without college degrees can do the high-level advance work just like the working professions with Bachelor/Masters/Doctorate degree. For example, in my chess career, I have beaten (as well as drew) plenty of people with their Doctorate's degree. I have also drew GM Bryan Smith as well, which is recorded on my USCF chess database account. GM Bryan Smith basically has an equivalent of a Doctorate's Degree in Chess Philosophy. The Doctorate Degree professionals that I have beaten in chess, which are recorded on my USCF chess database account are Dr. Douglas Kern (Doctorate in Electrical Engineering), Dr. Arthur Martella (Retired Medical Doctor), Dr. Lee Stanley (Doctorate in Mathematics), Dr. Janos Fucsko (Doctorate in Engineering), and Dr. John F Bayley (Retired Pediatric Doctor). The Doctorate Degree professionals that I have drew in chess, which are recorded on my USCF chess database account is Dr. Spencer Carran (Doctorate in Ecology Philosophy). The Doctorate Degree professionals that I have beaten in chess that are not recorded online are Dr. Brent Jenkins (Doctorate in Pharmacy, we went to Norristown Area High School together), Dr. Jeff Kaplan (Doctorate in School Psychology, he visited Norristown Area High School chess club from time to time), and Dr. Yuri Yerastov (Doctorate in Enligsh, he was the chess club advisor at Kutztown University). When I posted that I got a 2200+ chess rating on chess.com blitz and I got an equivalent of a Master's Degree on the Chess Connections Facebook Group page on November 21st, 2018, I got bashed by some people on there. They were not thinking "outside the box" and they didn't understand how the chess rating were equivalent to college degrees. I am the first working professional chess player in the world to bravely!!! declare that I have a chess rating equivalent to a college-level degree!!! I am the first working professional chess player in the world to bravely!!! declare a 2200+ rating in any chess platform equivalent to a Master's Level college degree!!! These are the main reasons why chess ratings are equivalent to college degrees!!!
