How agadmator became the #1 chess channel on youtube
Hello everyone, and welcome to my blog. Today we will be looking at agadmator’s Chess Channel and explore the countless reasons it is so successful. The owner of the channel is Antonio Radić a 32 year old Croatian chess Youtuber. His channel has over 650 000 subs and is rapidly growing.
agadmator started playing chess early at 5 years old when his grandfather, a fide master, taught him.
He didn’t play much until he was 18 when one of his friends at the bar made a bet with him and challenged him to a game. He won the game and the bet and since that day chess has been his passion.
agadmator is a very strong chess player with a peak fide rating of over 2000. Here is one of the games he played, and he has done a video for it on his channel. In the video he describes how he tricked an international master and his plan was to resign.
Another thing that makes agadmator so good are his iconic phrases, “Hello Everyone”, "Sorry about that", “and now I will give you a few seconds to find the move”, "For those of you who [found the move], congratulations; you are an excellent [finder of that type of move] and for those of you who just want to enjoy the show, the move is_______", “your friends at the bar or the library will be impressed by this game” etc. If you have seen more than one agadmator video, you know what I am talking about, and how legendary these quotes are.
agadmator channel has been growing rapidly recently because of the hype chess is receiving, and he is certainly is doing his part to help grow chess. agadmator is also not afraid to comment on chess drama. He talks quite a bit about it while doing an analysis on a Game between GM Hikaru and xQcOW.
When asked about why he named his channel agadmator, he said he would only reveal it if he ever got 1 million subs and I believe that will happen sooner rather than later. agadmator is truly a chess legend and his videos will never get old.
