Nova Daily - 19 April 2025

Hi!

I'm still in the middle of writing another blog, and my laptop is still going ballistic. It's not as bad if I keep the open applications to a minimum, but I'll still need to take it to the chipmonks.

Today's game was interesting. I decided to sacrifice a piece on h3 in that line of the CK, but I wasn't able to create enough complications. My opponent's Rc4 was a great move to deal with a lot of threats. It did cost him a lot of time, which translated into blundering a rook when the threats were almost over. I had to be careful for checkmate a little bit, but ultimately it turned out to be fine. I have the feeling that I 100% escaped in this game.

I'll most probably write the analysis after the weekend.
