Hello viewers! My first official blog that will have a ton of effort into it will be about the Damiano Gambit! Hope you enjoy it!

The Damiano Gambit starts with the "best by test" 1. e4 e5 followed by 2. Nf3 f6. Moving the f-pawn is really risky since it opens the king up into the open. The Damiano Defense below which later becomes the Damiano Gambit:

The Damiano Gambit starts with by a sacrifice Nxe5! by opening the black kingside to make the king more vulnerable to attacks. If black captures the knight, black is in deep trouble because playing f6 to defend the e5 pawn isn't the smartest. The best move is 4. Qh5+.

There are only two lines that follow this check. Ke7 or g6.

The first line to be explained is if black plays g6...

If black plays g6...

Then the move that should follow should be 5. Qxe5+.

If black plays Qe7, Be7 or Ne7...

Take the rook on Qxh8! It's hanging anyway! Although if black plays Be7, then the advantage for white gets bigger.

The second line to be explained is if black plays Ke7...

If black plays Ke7...

Then black obviously took away the right to castle. The following move should be Qxe5+, same move after the g6 line.

Basically apply the knowledge from the g6 line then you'll get it

Hope you enjoyed the post and hope you get to use it in the future!
