OTB Chess in the NoVa/DC Area

Tournament Info. There doesn't seem to be a single centralized place where one can find info on tournaments -- nationally or locally, The following are the sites I use:

National Events

Local Chess Clubs, Meetup Groups, etc

• Fairfax Chess: www.meetup.com/fairfax-chess-meetup-group/ is now two nights per week in downtown Fairfax City.  A bunch of friendly players.

• Rockville Chess Club (https://www.rockvillechess.org/), meets a couple of times per week, and (new!), has a weekly USCF rated game, every Sunday, at the Rockville Library, 21 Maryland Ave, Rockville; 2nd floor (see https://www.rockvillechess.org/events/chess-sundays)
• Alexandria Pints and Pawns has merged with Chess on Tap -- see next entry
• Chess on Tap (https://www.meetup.com/chess-on-tap/) meets three times per week
  • Mondays, Chess on Tap DC, 6:30pm, at The Board Room, 1737 Connecticut Ave, DC
  • Tuesdays (the group known as Pints and Pawns) 7-9pm, at Mason Social, 728 N Henry St, Old Town Alexandria. 
  • Saturdays, Chess on Tap Arlington, at The Board Room VA, 925 N Garfield St. Arlington

• Arlington Chess Club: www.arlingtonchessclub.com - has been around since 1954 (!!).  They meet every Friday night at 7pm, and have other events from time to time.  Their Friday night meetings are in the basement of the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, 1500 N Glebe Rd, Arlington
• Kingstowne Chess Club generally meets on the first Tuesday night of the month at 7pm, at the Kingstowne South (Community) Center, at 6080 Kingstowne Village Parkway, 2nd Floor, Alexandria. 
• Kings and Queens of GW (the GW Chess club, but open to all).  Tuesday nights, 8pm, at the District House (2121 H St. NW).  Contact: gwuchessclub@gmail.com.  I haven't been there, and am unsure of its status
• Game Nights at Crossroads, www.meetup.com/Game-Nights-at-Crossroads/ I haven't been there, and am unsure of its status
