Group C is terminating today in the PRO Chess League Summer Series, which allows fans to participate along with a single player from each team in the division every week. The Series is split up into four divisions, each with four teams. If you want to know more about the rules, here is the official information about the tournament.

2019 PRO Chess League Summer Series | Group C Standings

Team Points Club
Sao Paulo Capybaras 8 Fan Club
Moscow Wizards 7 Fan Club
Mumbai Movers 6 Fan Club
Armenia Eagles 3 Fan Club

Sao Paulo Capybaras vs. Mumbai Movers

Sao Paulo's 1,299 fans will be looking for a win (or draw) in this match to confirm a spot in the Summer Series Championship. Led by Argentina's #1, Sandro Mareco, this team is practically unstoppable and will be in very good shape going into the 2020 PRO Chess League Qualifier. This is a crucial match for Mumbai, who will be trying to defy the 'Curse of Five', as both San Francisco and Barcelona, who got 5 points in Week 1, didn't make the Championship. Their manager, Mohammed Nubairshah Shaikh, will be stepping in to represent them as the only non-grandmaster to play in Group C.

Knockout Battles

The Knockout Battles will see Shant Sargsyan (Armenia) and Vladimir Dobrov (Moscow) join the field as Sargysan will take on Mareco and Dobrov will play Nubairshah Shaikh in a crucial match. Both Moscow and Mumbai are fighting for a playoff spot, so this may be a must win match for Nubairshah Shaikh, if Mumbai loses the live club match. Sargsyan would need to win this match to keep Armenia's fighting chances alive.

Armenia Eagles vs. Moscow Wizards

The Armenia Eagles need to win this match against Moscow, with #1 Armenian junior Shant Sargysan leading the way. The former champions have a small club, but that hasn't seemed to mean anything thus far. Moscow will be hoping that all ten of Dobrov's adopted children play in the match to lead them to their third straight live club match win. Both representatives were crucial for their team's success in the 2019 PCL season and they will hope to be Summer Series MVPs as well.
