Quick Wins #21 | DOUBLE CHECKMATE! Epic Winning in the Blackmar-Diemer Gambit!

chess noob Quick Wins! is a series of short videos, to demonstrate very quick wins! As a beginner, you become aware of the Scholar's Mate and the Fool's Mate, but neither of these show up in real games. However, there are tricky quick checkmates and wins that occur, even at the intermediate level of chess.
This was an a very special 8-move win by my subscriber (@Mentok47), a fellow Aussie in a Lichess Blitz Tournament! Not do they win with checkmate in 8 moves, but they do so with an incredible double-check checkmate - double checkmate!
The games starts with a super tricky line, where there seems to be a brinksmanship in gambits! The Blackmar-Diemer Gambit: Lemberger Countergambit! (1. d4 d5 2. e4 dxe4 3. Nc3 e5).
On move 6, Black makes a blunder [+3.5] - a classic pattern where Black attempts to pin the knight to the queen, but can fall prey to a forcing bishop capture-sacrifice on f7.
However, my subscriber chooses to not play this line, but sets up a devious trap with (7. Qe2), taking advantage of the fact that the e-file is fully open. Black misses the trap and thus (8. Nf6#) a double-check checkmate! EPIC WINNING!
